30 Day Pushup Challenge

T-rex.PNG

Push-ups are quite possibly the best upper-body exercise. They build muscle, strength and endurance. Plus, they have the added bonus of not requiring any equipment other than your own body weight.

So for a bit of fun, here's a pushup challenge to help you not only learn how to do a pushup properly but more importantly get you stronger as well.

Proper Form

For the pushup movements, start in a plank position with your hands under your shoulders and your body in a straight line from head to toes (or knees if you're doing modified pushups). Contract your ab muscles so that your hips don't sag and your back doesn't arch. Be strict with your form.

Bend your elbows as you lower your chest to the ground, keeping your hips level. Your elbows should be about a 45-degree angle away from your body. Once you lower as far as you can, push yourself back up to a plank.

There are links to all the movements on each day, have fun.

Pushups can be tough if you haven't done them before but as I said before they are one of the best exercises for building strength.  Download the Pushup Challenge Calendar above and cross off each day as you complete it.
